ANGLING
DAVE Machin is coming into form, picking up his latest win in the Diggle AC match fished on Tanners Dam.
Drawn on peg 13, Machin fished the long pole and meat for 13 carp and some silvers that together weighed 58lb 2oz.
It more than doubled the 26lb 3oz catch of second-placed Pete Jones, using the method feeder accounting for seven carp.
Meanwhile, Dave White took first place in the Socials AC Charity match in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, fished on Tyle Lodge with pole, corn and pellet tempting plenty of silvers that weighed in at 35lb 9oz.
Second-placed Mick Diskin also had a great day’s fishing, catching skimmers and carp and corn weighing in 27lb 15oz.
The club would like to thanks all of those that took part and raised the £3,160 that is going to the charity.
