Manor men hit the road

Oldham RU’s John Souter makes ground
OLDHAM Rugby Union Club hit the road for their opening game of the 2014-15 North Lancashire Division One season.
The Manor Park club start their campaign on Saturday, September 6 with a trip to Merseyside to face St Edward’s Old Boys.
Seven days later, Oldham welcome Thornton Cleveleys for their first home game of the season.
The local side have a long break over the festive period of almost a month to recharge the batteries.
They host Thornton Cleveleys on Saturday, December 13, before returning to action against Trafford MV, also on home turf, on Saturday, January 10.
The season ends how it starts with a tussle against St Edward’s Old Boys, this time at the familiar surroundings of Manor Park on Saturday, April 18.
In the corresponding fixture last term Oldham secured a 38-18 success.
