DELPH secured a third straight Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership victory when they won by four wickets at Honley.
Greg Buckley was in super form with the ball, taking five for 60 as Honley only managed 141 all out batting first. Jamshad Ahmad took three for 29.
In reply, Delph saw Ahmad score 38 and youngster Nathan Jones – son of skipper Grant – hit 35 as they lost six wickets on their way to another maximum points haul. Delph are now in seventh place as they continue their late-season surge.
WOODHOUSES slid to a disappointing Greene King Lancashire County League defeat at Flowery Field.
Replying to the hosts’ 171 for nine score – Josh Butler took six for 76 – Woodhouses slumped to 133 all out and have now slipped to eighth in the table.
