In-form Delph eye third-place finish
Date published: 05 September 2014
CRICKET: DELPH are still in with a shout of finishing third in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership.
After a stuttering start to the season, Grant Jones’s men have rallied superbly; last weekend’s double victory lifted them into fourth place.
Delph play host to second-placed Shepley tomorrow in what is set to be a stern test, though Hoylandswaine have been crowned champions of the division and can’t be caught.
Delph travel to Barkisland, who are currently in third spot, in their final match of the season tomorrow week. Barkisland are seven points better off than Delph ahead of tomorrow’s action (12.30pm).
