Mixed fortunes for Woodhouses

CRICKET: IT proved to be a double-header weekend of mixed fortunes for Woodhouses in the Greene King Lancashire County League.
The Belfields outfit took four points from a winning draw on Saturday at Stretford.
’Houses scored 235 for eight, with Nick Hardman hitting a terrific 105 and Mike Cassidy 62. Stretford made 121 for nine in reply before heavy rain curtailed proceedings.
It was a different story yesterday at Roe Green. Butler took four for 53 in helping restrict the hosts to 136 for seven. But in reply, Woodhouses collapsed to just 53 all out. Andy Hough was the tormentor-in-chief as he snared nine victims at a cost of just 18 runs, from his 17 superb overs.
DELPH’S home Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership clash against Shepley was washed out.
