Martin finds his range to land major

GOLF: MARTIN Morrissey is a major winner at Crompton and Royton after landing the 36-hole President’s Prize.
Morrissey scored 68 and 67, three shots ahead of the rest of the field. Runner-up on countback was Tony Sutherland after two rounds of 69, while Richard Flynn, with rounds of 68 and 70, was third.
LADY captain Lorraine Suddaby won the 36-hole Kenworthy Cup, a major at Ashton. She had rounds of 73 and 72 for a total of 145, four shots better than runner-up Susan Barlow (75 and 74 for 149).
Third place went to Gail Robertson after she carded 76 and 75 for 151.
