FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY joint-boss Peter Band is hoping his players channel the frustration of their midweek defeat at Bamber Bridge into victory against strugglers Kendal Town tomorrow.
The Lilywhites lost 1-0 on Tuesday despite a team performance Band described as the best since he and Lloyd Morrison took the reins a year ago.
Kendal are second from bottom of the table and are still seeking their first league win of the campaign.
Mossley striker Dougie Carroll, midfielder Danny McDonnell and wing-back Andy Brown are all injury doubts.
CHADDERTON have stuttered badly in the North-West Counties League First Division of late, with Tuesday’s defeat at home by Cheadle Town their third on the run. Tomorrow they are at home toleague leaders Atherton Collieries, who will provide the toughest of tests.
OLDHAM BORO, who battled bravely before losing in extra-time in the FA Carlsberg Vase against 1874 Northwich last time out, prop up the First Division table. Tony Mills’ side host eighth-placed AFC Darwen at Seel Park, desperate for their second victory of the season.
