Quality shines through for in-form Heyside

FOOTBALL: IN-form Heyside made it 16 goals in their opening two games in Huddersfield League Division Two as they saw off KKS Spartans 6-2.
After the previous weekend’s 10-0 victory, the local side fell behind to an early goal when some sloppy defending allowed the home striker to fire past ’keeper Matt Wheelton.
But the goal woke up the Blues and they responded with two of their own in two minutes.
KKS equalised on the half-hour before Heyside again snatched the lead when a superb Chris Taylor through-ball again found Leonard, who finished superbly.
The second half was a tight affair for 25 minutes, before 17-year-old substitute Adam Constable effectively sealed victory, poking home from six yards on his first-team debut.
Daniel Dunn made it five soon afterwards following a great Heyside move, and 10 minutes before the end Leonard sealed his second hat-trick in as many games to make it six for the visitors.
Central midfielder Chris Taylor was the man-of-the-match.
Top-flight action saw Diggle held 1-1 at home by Holmfirth Town.
