FOUR GOALS: Westwood hot-shot Farhad Choudhury (right).
Westwood 8, Crown 2
FARHAD Choudhury netted half of Westwood’s goals in an emphatic victory over rock-bottom Crown in the Jack Abbott Premier Division of the Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League at Clayton playing fields.
Westwood, newly-promoted to the league’s top flight, were simply too hot for league newcomers Crown. And in four-goal marksman Choudhury, Westwood have a striker who is on fire at the moment.
Choudhury showed precision finishing for each of his strikes for a Westwood side so far unbeaten in a highly-promising start to life in the top flight,
For Crown, however, without a point in their opening four games, it would appear that there is a lot of work to be done if a Premier Division place is to be maintained.
Westwood manager Nurul Hoque said: “We have found the Premier Division to be extremely competitive, but we have quality and strength in depth to manage at this level.
