Non-league football:
CHADDERTON ended their disappointing losing streak in spectacular style as they saw off Abbey Hey 3-1in the FA Carlsberg Vase second qualifying round.
The local outfit had lost their previous seven games but came up with the goods when beating North-West Counties League top flight Abbey with two goals from Daniel Murray and one from James Curley.
The victory should hand Chaddy a confidence boost ahead of tomorrow’s North-West Counties League First Division Trophy trip to Ashton Town.
IN league action, OLDHAM BORO drew 2-2 at home against Northwich Flixton Villa.
Hayden Foulds scored both goals, though the point still wasn’t enough to lift Tony Mills’ men off the foot of the table. Boro face a big game on Wednesday as they host megabucks Salford City in the Manchester Premier Cup first round at Seel Park.
MOSSLEY slipped to ninth place in the Evo-Stik League Division One North following their second straight defeat without scoring a goal.
The Lilywhites fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Victoria Park. Mossley return to action at Glossop North End tomorrow in a Manchester Premier Cup first-round clash.
