FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Boro secured a superb 2-1 victory against big-spending Salford City on Wednesday night in the Manchester Premier Cup first round.
Arguably Boro’s most eye-catching win since the club reformed in 2009, it came thanks to goals from Andy Smith and Matt Knowles.
