MOSSLEY came unstuck as they were beaten 3-0 at home by Evo-Stik League Division One North leaders Darlington 1883.
Darlo were good value for the margin of their victory at Seel Park. Terry Galbraith and Stephen Thompson were on target for the dominant visitors, while Mossley’s Tom Dean contributed an own-goal in first-half stoppage-time.
The Lilywhites, who dropped a place to ninth in the table as a result, return to action tomorrow night when they welcome Northwich Victoria in the first round of the Doodson Cup (7.45pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON’S home North-West Counties League First Division fixture against Cammell Laird 1907 was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
But the club got a boost with the news that Dale Latham has won the First Division goalkeeper of the month award for October. A previous winner of the award on several occasions, Latham showed impressive form during the month.
ROCK-bottom OLDHAM BORO suffered another crushing defeat on Saturday as they went down 7-1 at fellow strugglers Litherland REMYCA.
Boro were already seven down when Lee Bancroft scored a late consolation goal.
Boro return to action on Wednesday when they host Rochdale Town in a First Division Cup first-round tie at Seel Park.
