LISA STANILAND . . . double strike.
HOCKEY: OLDHAM are up to fourth place in Division Two South-West of the North Hockey Women’s League after a terrific 5-1 victory over Stockport Bramhall at Newman College.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, it was a different story in the second half as the local outfit upped their game.
Oldham emerged with all guns blazing, and when Howard’s shot was pushed away by the ’keeper, Lisa Staniland gobbled up the rebound.
Rachael Johnson smashed home a penalty corner to put Oldham ahead, before Staniland added a third.
Rowley, with a deft flick, and a break-away goal from Rebecca Blair left Stockport down and out.
That is now nine goals in two games for Oldham, who are proving a force to be reckoned with in the division.
