NETBALL: WITH defenders Rachel Taylor, Gemma McDermott and Susie Armstrong taking the ball off Bramhall at will, Oldham Netball Club notched an amazing 20 goals in the opening quarter of their North-West Premier League clash.
The hosts replied with four, but the damage was already done as Oldham went on to win 54-20.
Two youngsters, Bryony Rhodes and Imogen Campbell, were given court time in the second quarter, and although the shot count was reduced, the half-time score was still an impressive 30-8 in the visitors’ favour.
Under-16 Ellie Fitzhugh made her debut for the seniors at wing defence in the third quarter and immediately made an interception.
Taylor earned the player-of-the-match award for the second week running after more intercepts in the final quarter as Oldham strolled to victory.
