Team’s turkey triumph

GOLF:  

CHRISTMAS may be five weeks away but that didn’t deter Werneth from staging an open turkey competition.

Winners were club captain Paul Gough, Danny Wilkinson, Jonathan Wilde and Mark O’Brien with 83 Stableford points.

They were followed by S Papp, M Hayes, S Hutton and M Fayhe with 81.



INNERS of a shotgun turkey competition over 12 holes at Saddleworth was Linda Newman with 26 points. Sue Booth finished runner-up with 24 points.
