Campbell profits from fast work

NETBALL:
OLDHAM Netball Club’s young squad had to dig deep to claim a 44-39 victory over Warrington in the North-West Premier League.
Jess Dale and Ellie Fitzhugh were a strong defensive unit in the opening quarter, turning over the ball continuously.
Fast passing and skill throughout the court provided a link to shooter Imogen Campbell, who scored 10 of Oldham’s 11 goals while the visitors replied with three.
A fightback by Warrington threatened to ruin Oldham’s afternoon as the Cheshire outfit won quarters two and three 12-9 and 13-11.
But the hosts regrouped — they edged the last quarter 13-11 — to seal victory.
