MOSSLEY are back in business after ending a run of four defeats with a morale-boosting 2-1 win at Prescot Cables.
The Lilywhites had started to slide back down the Evo-Stik League Division One North table following excellent results in October.
The visitors had to come from behind at third-bottom Prescot, as Neil Prince struck inside the first minute.
The scores were even at the break as recent Mossley capture Lewis Nuttall bagged his first goal for the club.
The Lilywhites won the game with a strike inside the first minute of the second period from Sam Robinson. The three points lift Mossley to ninth in the table.
The Lilywhites return to action on Wednesday at Seel Park when they play Trafford in the quarter-finals of the Manchester Premier Cup (7.45pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON’S eagerly-anticipated FA Carlsberg Vase second round tie at North-West Counties League First Division rivals AFC Darwen was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The two teams will try again on Wednesday (7.45pm kick-off).
In the league, rock-bottom OLDHAM BORO let slip a lead as they crashed 3-1 at home against Atherton LR.
Adam Owens handed Boro a 56th-minute advantage, only for LR to roar to victory thanks to responses from Mathew Davies, Ashley Duckworth and Ben Hyde.
Boro are in Manchester Premier Cup quarter-final action tonight at Radcliffe Borough (7.45pm).
