JOHN Murray made a fine break of 44 to win his frame for Springbank in their Oldham Amateur Snooker League fixture against Nimble Nook.
Springbank looked like inflicting a whitewash on their opponents, but John Courtney won the final frame to spare Nook’s blushes.
Other teams to record 5-1 victories were Three Cs ‘A’ and Blue Club ‘B’.
North Chadderton ‘B’ remain the team to catch in the cards section, holding a five-point lead over nearest rivals Royton Band and Blue Club ‘B’.
