Perfect 10 for cup kings Limeside

FREE-scoring Limeside King George did the Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League proud in the Champion of Champions Cup competition.

King George turned in an awesome performance as they crushed hosts Three Arrows

10-2, with Wayne Ware leading the way as he struck four goals.

Liam Cashmore and Rick Ballerzak weighed in with a brace apiece, while James Tindall and Martin Gurr wrapped up a brilliant victory.

Fitton Hill were the big winners in the Jack Abbott Premier Division action.

They beat Failsworth Athletic 9-4 thanks to efforts from Callum Franklin (three) and doubles from Arran Buckley, Kaine Radcliffe and Aaron Murdoch.

Murdoch’s seven-match suspension handed down by the Manchester County FA, as reported in the Chronicle last Friday, was effective from Monday. Jack Turnbull (two), Reece Lyndon and Niall Sultan replied for Athletic.

Jaya Cawthorne and Pete Hampson were also on target.

Moorside remain top of the table as they eased to a 3-0 home success against Mount, while 3D Dynamos beat Thornhill United 2-0.
