Newton Heath were emphatic 4-0 victors against Santos in Division One.
To cap a miserable day for local sides, Oldham Victoria were crushed 5-0 at home by Staly Lions in Division Three.
The only bright spot was the 5-1 victory for AFC Oldham’s fifth team against Govan Athletic thirds in Division ‘E’.
FAILSWORTH Dynamos moved up to third place in the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division table thanks to a 3-1 win against Old Blackburnians.
