Rangers tunned by Blue Club hot-shots

OLDHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE

RAMPANT Blue Club went goal crazy in one of the few Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League fixtures to survive the awful weather.

Taking on stunned Rochdale Rangers in a Martin Buckley Division Two clash, Blue Club triumphed 14-3.

Adam Ruddock led the way with five goals, while Ben Foster (four), Sam Leigh (two), Michael Wood (two) and David Tickle were also on the mark.

Idi Lucpia (two) and Isaac Sirikwpi replied for well-beaten Rangers.

In the Jack Abbott Premier Division, Corey Eastmond (two), Neil Hardman and Louis Green registered for Crown in a 4-2 success against Oldham GPO.

Liam Jackson bagged a double for the posties.

Rick Ollerton and Gareth Hill scored for Heyside in a 2-1 win against Limeside King George, whose reply came from Wayne Ware.

Carrion Crow secured a convincing 3-0 win against Royton Athletic in David Giblin Division One.

Callum Beckett (two) and Aaron Turner were the scorers.

Limeside Athletic edged out High Crompton Victoria 5-4 courtesy of strikes from Stu Skibinski (two), Dave Shaw, Jordan Fitzpatrick and Dale Heathcote.

Sam Quinlan and John Ryder both scored twice for Victoria.
