Non-league football:

MOSSLEY maintained their impressive run of form in the Evo-Stik League Division One North with a goalless draw at leaders Northwich Victoria.

In Lilywhites’ first goalless encounter since April 2013, the visitors defended stoutly and efficiently against Jim Gannon's high-fliers.

The point keeps Mossley in 10th place in the table and extended the club’s winning streak to three games. The club returns to action on Saturday with a home game against Burscough.

CHADDERTON fought back from two goals down to earn a battling 2-2 North-West Counties League First Division draw at neighbours Rochdale Town.

Callum Smith struck twice in two minutes shortly after half-time, to hand Town a 2-0 lead.

But Matty Russell pegged the hosts back in the 75th minute, before Daniel Murray pounced to snatch a dramatic draw as the game entered stoppage-time.

Chaddy are now unbeaten in nine league games. Their next game is away at Northwich Flixton Villa on Saturday.

Chadderton’s recent good form has earned them the First Division Club of the Month award for December.

It was another disastrous day for OLDHAM BORO at the bottom of the First Division. They had Michael Cheetham sent off as they slumped to a 5-0 home defeat against Atherton Collieries. Boro play to Cammell Laird 1907 on Saturday.
