Frustration for defeated Heyside

FOOTBALL: HEYSIDE were beaten 2-1 by Lancashire Amateur League rivals Failsworth Dynamos in their replayed Manchester FA Amateur Cup clash.
It proved a frustrating outcome for the hosts, who had led Dynamos 1-0 after 70 minutes in the original, abandoned game before Christmas.
The Manchester County FA ruled the game be played again, and this time Dynamos did enough to pass into the last 16.
The visitors took the lead after 15 minutes when a neat one-two culminated with a shot being slid clinically underneath Heyside ’keeper Jack Suttie.
Failsworth continued to press the hosts, but three substitutions on the half-hour injected life into Heyside, who finished the period stronger.
Despite starting the second half the better side, Heyside fell further behind courtesy of a neat headed finish.
Heyside pulled a goal back in the 75th minute but despite Heyside forcing a number of late corners and
free-kicks, Failsworth hung on.
