Non-league football: MOSSLEY players must prepare for an aerial bombardment tomorrow as they head north for a crunch game at Spennymoor Town.
The 10th-placed Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last eight games and have won their last four. But their play-off credentials are sure to be tested by a Spennymoor side currently fifth in the table.
Mossley joint-boss Peter Band acknowledges: “It’s going to be a tough call. They are a big, strong side – they’re all 6’3” lads and well-organised. We’ve got plenty of quality, though.”.
Striker Sam Robinson is set to be available again tomorrow following a spell out injured, but midfielder Aaron Hevingham is only rated 50-50.
Lilywhites have signed centre-half Danny Mukuna on loan from Hyde.
OLDHAM BORO leave their North-West Counties League woes behind when they travel to Wigan
outfit Ashton Town in the quarter-final of the Reusch First Division Cup. Boro remain rooted to the bottom of the league table so a knock-out victory would presumably lift confidence at the Seel Park outfit.
CHADDERTON travel to Atherton LR in the league, having missed out on scheduled midweek action when Wednesday’s clash at Cheadle Town was postponed.
