Concussion rules out Connor

RUGBY: FOUR months of planning and preparation are put to the test tomorrow as Saddleworth Rangers start their Kingstone Press National Conference League campaign.
Craig Farrimond takes his charges to Salford City Roosters, formerly Eccles, for their opening Division One fixture of 2015.
Injuries have already struck Rangers: Jack Connor misses the clash. The forward was concussed and broke his nose during a bruising Napier Windows Standard Cup semi-final tie against Oldham St Anne’s. That means an automatic two weeks off for the forward. He should be available for the visit of Ince Rose Bridge on Saturday week.
Farrimond is also without Scott Booth and Ryan Moores as they recover from operations. Moores should be back before the end of the month, but Booth faces another eight weeks on the sidelines.
OLDHAM St Anne’s (Division Two) and Waterhead Warriors (Division Three) get their NCL seasons under way on Saturday, March 14.
