Bailey leads the way in Streetbridge rout

Oldham Sunday League:

THERE were goals galore in the latest round of fixtures in the Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League Martin Buckley Division Two.

Streetbridge top scored as they thumped White Hart 10-2 thanks to strikes from Adam Bailey (three), Shaun Renshaw (two), Ash Fox (two), Jordan Hall, Karl Hallas and Gideon Chimbonda.

Not far behind were Oldham XI, who triumped 8-4 at The Dog.

Jamie Clarke (three), Paul Stevenson (two), Tom Breza (two) and Liam Ure scored for Oldham, while Jack Schofield (two), Gaz Ashworth and Chris Keitley hit back.

Ash Ainsworth grabbed a breath taking double hat-trick for Horseshoe as they defeated Rochdale Rangers 7-5.

HAT-TRICK

Daniel Jackson also netted for Horseshoe, while Rangers’ replies came from Daniel Miranda (two), Ezequial Miranda, Davies Murekatate and Jackson Mpela.

Jordan Holt (three), Matty Crothers (two) and Ben Richards scored for White House in a 6-3 win against Blue Club, for whom Sam Leigh’s hat-trick was unfortunately in vain.

Chris Crothers struck for Oddies 14 in a 1-1 draw with high-flying Legends of Lees, who hit back thanks to Bobby Fulham’s effort.

Manchester Swifts trumphed 3-1 at Alt Athletic.

Heyside made comfortable progress in the Challenge Cup, seeing off Oldham GPO 7-1 courtesy of goals from Chris Ollerton (two), Rick Ollerton (two), Danny O’Connell (two) and Jordan Schofield.

Mike King netted for the posties.

Farhad Chowdhury’s double was enough for Westwood to gain a 2-1 Jack Abbott Premier Division verdict against Coppice United.

Tufail Ahmed struck for Coppice.

Limeside King George defeated Fitton Hill 3-1 as Wayne Ware, Jermaine Steele and Joe Heap were on the mark.

Rifle ‘B’ secured another big win in David Giblin Division One, beating FC Failsworth 5-0 courtesy of Nathan Barker (two), Jacob Davies (two) and Ashley Williams.

Carrion Crow edged out Springhead Libs 3-2.

Danny Fitzhugh (two) and Steve Palfreyman scored for Crow, while Jamie Chadwick and Jack McGarry replied.

Coby Tyrrell, Dave Shaw, Jack Lowther and Ben Lawton pounced for Limeside Athletic as they won 4-2 at High Crompton Victoria.
