MOSSLEY are set for a concerted Evo-Stik League Division One North play-off push after snapping up two new players.

Full-back Liam Gibson has signed on at Seel Park after recently leaving Witton Albion.

He began his career at Bolton Wanderers, before joining Macclesfield Town and latterly Witton.

Utility player Ryan Hibbert is a former Chesterfield youngster, who more recently has played for the Lilywhites’ divisional rivals Droylsden and Radcliffe Borough.

Mossley joint-boss Peter Band said: “Myself and (fellow joint-boss) Lloyd (Morrison) felt we just needed to get the squad back up to around 20 or 21-strong as we head into a crucial stage of the season.

“We have had a great run lately, losing just once in three months, but we’ve got a really hectic schedule coming up and we need the bodies in case we pick up a few injuries or suspensions.”

Mossley travel to Brighouse Town tomorrow before hosting Spennymoor on Tuesday.

n CHADDERTON head to Eccleshall in the North-West Counties League First Division, keen to build on their 4-1 midweek defeat of Northwich Flixton Villa, but Oldham Boro have no fixture tomorrow.

They are next in action on Tuesday when they travel to Atherton LR.
