FOOTBALL:
TORRENTIAL rain put paid to non-league matches on Saturday.
Mossley missed a chance to consolidate their place in the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-off zone when their scheduled home clash with Harrogate Railway Athletic was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The Lilywhites next face a hectic Easter with a trip to Lancaster City on Saturday followed by Easter Monday’s home clash against New Mills.
In the North-West Counties League First Division, Chadderton’s home clash with Hanley Town and Oldham Boro’s game at Irlam were both postponed due to the soggy conditions.
Chadderton are in action tomorrow night when they host Widnes (kick-off 7.45pm), while Boro welcome Daisy Hill on Wednesday.
