Town contingent lead the way

OLDHAM players were at the front as Lancashire beat Kent 25-11 in the latest Premier Inter-Counties clash in Wigan.
Town team stars Dave Rawstron, Mark McGeeney, Dave Adshead and Carl Sneyd were instrumental in the county’s success. Rawstron checked out on a superb 141 to take a 4-1 personal victory for the ‘A’ team. England international McGeeney won 4-0 — averaging 92 for each set of three — and Adshead nailed a 4-1 triumph. Sneyd was in top form for the ‘B’ side, averaging 87.34 in a 4-1 success.
Lancashire dominated the fixture, with the men’s ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams winning 10-2 and 7-5 respectively.
The women's ‘A’ side were impressive in winning 5-1.
