FOOTBALL: THE FBT Manchester League was hit hard by the wet weather.
Hollinwood managed to pull on their boots for a 3-2 win over lowly Wilmslow Albion, which lifted them to fourth in the table, nine points adrift of third-placed Boothstown.
In Division Two, Royton Town reserves enjoyed a 3-0 success over their East Manchester counterparts, and Royton Town ‘A’ beat Elton Vale ‘A’ 4-1 in the Bridgewater Cup.
