Crunch time in Mossley play-off push
Date published: 03 April 2015
A RUN of three wins from their last three games has put Mossley on course for a place in the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-offs.
The management team of Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison reckon five victories from their remaining matches will do it – and they can take a big step towards that with an Easter Bank Holiday double.
First comes a trip to the Giant Axe to face Lancaster City tomorrow, while Monday sees New Mills visit Seel Park. Both opponents are below Mossley in the table.
WHILE all eyes are on Easter Bank Holiday Monday's derby, Chadderton and Oldham Boro must first fix their sights on tomorrow's North-West Counties League, Division One action.
Bottom side Boro polay host to Cammell Laird 1907 at the top of the table. Mid-table Chadderton's task won't be straightforward as Barnton, in fourth, are the visitors.
But it’s a chance for the Broadway club to make up ground on the teams above them - they could go sixth if other results go their way.
As for Monday's duel at the same venue, one suspects that Boro would like nothing more than to stop their close rivals from rising up the rankings.
