NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY face arguably their toughest game of the season tomorrow as they continue their fight to reach the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-offs.
Following a win and a defeat over Easter, the Lilywhites are three points short of fifth-placed Spennymoor Town in the final slot, and have played a game more.
Next is a daunting trip to second-placed Darlington 1883: a win for the hosts could take them into the single automatic promotion place, at Salford City’s expense.
A mammoth task awaits the Lilywhites, but joint-boss Peter Band holds no fear.
“We’ve got to keep our cool up there because this really is a vital game for both sides,” said Band.
“There’s so much at stake, but hopefully we can stay resolute at the back and alert up front.”
Band and fellow joint-boss Lloyd Morrison have a full-strength squad to choose from.
Mossley have four league games left, and meet Curzon Ashton in the Manchester Premier Cup final at SportsDirect.com Park on April 22.
CHADDERTON will continue their North-West Counties League First Division play-off bid when they head to Irlam tomorrow.
Dale Latham has won March’s First Division goalkeeper of the month award.
Latham produced a consistently high standard of performance during the month, stopping Cammell Laird 1907 from scoring in the league for the first time this season.
OLDHAM BORO host Wigan Robin Park, hoping to build on a solid performance last time out when drawing in their Easter Monday derby clash at Chadderton.
