SNOOKER:
THE destination of the Oldham Amateur Snooker League title will go right to the wire.
Leaders North Chadd ‘A’ were beaten 4-2 by Stanley Road ‘B’ in their penultimate game of the season and face a tricky trip to Blue Club ‘A’ in their final fixture.
But nearest challengers Chadd Reform require at least four points at home to Three Cs ‘A’ to stand any chance of claiming top honours.
The cards league is also still up for grabs. Despite winning 6-0 on the green baize, second-placed Royton Band were beaten 3-1 on the cards table.
They trail North Chadd ‘B’, who also lost 3-1, by a point with one round of
fixtures remaining.
THE league presentation night is at North Chadd on Thursday, May 28,
CHAMPIONS Tara ‘B’ wrapped up their Saw-Tech Shaw League season with a 4-2 win over Greenacres, who had to settle for third in the final standings.
