Philip Forshaw, captain at Brookdale Golf Club.
GOLF: AFTER spending two years on the Brookdale committee, Philip Forshaw has become captain of the club.
A job in the world of international sales took him all over the globe, but now happily retired, Forshaw can devote his full attention to the role.
He said: “I’ve always been interested in captaining the club, and now I have enough time to commit myself. I’m looking forward to it very much.”
Once as low as a 17-handicapper, he now plays off 23. The 70 year old, who lives in Alderley Edge, has been a Brookdale member for 30 years.
