MOORSIDE mean business in the 2015 SWB Commercials Saddleworth and District Cricket League season.
After treating Friarmere with disdain on opening day, they gave Greenfield short shrift in a match reduced to 24 hours a side due to rain.
Chasing 133 for victory, Richard Baines outscored his professional partner Grant Hodnett 76 runs to 52 to complete a crushing 10-wicket victory at Turf Pit Lane.
Dave Roberts scored 77 for Saddleworth, who made it two wins from two with a 43-run defeat of hosts South West Manchester.
Reigning champions Glodwick got off the mark with a five-wicket triumph at home to Uppermill.
Friarmere are also up and running after beating Droylsden by 40 runs at Oakfield. There were also wins for Whalley Range and Wythenshawe.
