CHADDERTON fired themselves into the North-West Counties League First Division play-offs in super style as they won their final game of the regular season 3-0 at Ashton Town.

Daniel Murray (two) and Niall Sultan bagged the goals as Chaddy roared to victory.

Chaddy now head to third-placed AFC Darwen tomorrow night (7.45pm) for the one-legged play-off semi-final, with the winners set to play either Hanley Town or Holker Old Boys on Saturday.

OLDHAM BORO finally lifted themselves off the foot of the table on the final day as they triumphed 6-2 at Atherton LR in a dramatic game. On the mark for Boro – who had been bottom since before Christmas – were Nick Alexander (three), Luke Buchan, Gavin O’Keefe and Tim Buxton.

MOSSLEY wrapped up their Evo-Stik League Division One North season with a well-deserved 2-0 victory at Ossett Albion.

The three points mean Lilywhites ended the season in seventh place in the table, a terrific return under joint-bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison.

They won the Manchester Premier Cup last Wednesday and only ended up two points outside the play-offs despite some rivals at the top having much healthier budgets.

Sam Robinson fired Mossley ahead just before the half-hour mark, while utility man Charlie Anderson

completed the victory in stoppage-time.
