Oldham Hulmeians 5, Farnworth Town 1
RYAN Shaughnessy bagged a hat-trick as Oldham Hulmeians ran out easy winners against Farnworth Town at Tate Street in Lancashire Amateur League Division One.
Hulmeians manager Dave Bradbury said after the side’s ninth game of the month, said: “Work commitments have been a big factor in all this; it’s something we'll have to address next season.”
On the comprehensive victory over Farnworth, Bradbury said: “They are much lower in the table than us but they are a decent side and I was pleased with the win.”
Shaughnessy’s treble came in between Farnworth’s strike on the half-hour mark and goals from his
colleagues Matthew Kemp and Ashley Williams.
The best Shaughnessy strike was his last after 65 minutes when his penalty area instincts allowed him to get on the end of a Daryl Weston pin-point delivery to steer the ball home from eight yards out.
