Premier Division action sees Royton, opening-day winners at Rochdale but on the sidelines last weekend, entertain Unsworth tomorrow before travelling to Heywood on Sunday.
The latter match is a dress rehearsal for the two clubs’ LCB Cup first-round tie next month.
Crompton made a fine start to their Championship campaign with a thrashing of Elton last weekend and Simon Wright’s men will be hoping for more of the same when they travel to take on an Ashton side enjoying their best start to a season for years.
The hosts have won both their opening matches and are second in the table, two points behing early pacesetters Radcliffe.
The latter are at Werneth tomorrow when Ian Dronsfield will be hoping to galvanise his team after an opening-day loss at Heyside, who entertain Milnrow.
Oldham, still looking for their first win, host Middleton.
Sunday sees a local derby between Crompton and Oldham at Glebe Street, while Werneth are at Milnrow and Heyside travel to Middleton.
