Brooks gears up for title defence

BOWLS: THE £1,550 JW Lees Bowling Classic at Hopwood Unionist Club, Heywood, gets underway tonight (6.30pm) when Tonge’s Nicky Brooks begins the defence of his title.
Other local interest is supplied by Brooks’ Tonge and Nimble Nook team-mate Matt Gillies.
