Wood Cup derby a damp squib

CROMPTON and Royton will try again on Sunday June 21 after their Wood Cup last-16 game at Glebe Street yesterday was called off because of a wet pitch.


Heyside and Monton and Weaste must do likewise, along with Radcliffe and Heywood and Rochdale and Middleton. In games which beat the elements, Littleborough thrashed Ashton by eight wickets, and Clifton saw off CLL newcomers Elton by five wickets.
