Friezland try again

BOWLS:  

POOR weather forced Friezland BC organisers to re-arrange the second qualifying round of the Saddleworth Arts Festival open singles competition.

It will instead be staged this Sunday, with the finals to follow on the same day. There are still places available.

Already through to the finals are Friezland pair Mike Gorey and Jake Dearden, and Springbank’s Wilf McDermott and Lee Schofield.

The total prize fund is £500, subject to entry. The cost is £8 per player, and to book a place call Chris on 07812 131582 or Gayle on 07989 124463.

Practice starts at 10am, and strike-out is at 10.30am.
