BARBARA Henderson, secretary of Oldham St Anne’s ARLFC, was on hand to receive the Rugby Oldham Challenge Trophy for 2014.
Of the six local clubs in the borough, Saints boasted the best overall record. Geoff Cooke, chairman of Rugby Oldham Supporters Trust, presented the award in the presence of Liam Lee, sales and marketing manager of sponsors Joseph Parr (Alco Ltd.).
Chris Hough, player-coach of Waterhead for part of last season, was the “man of steel” winner. Unfortunately the former Rochdale Hornets and Oldham RL player was unable to attend.
Hough had the most man of the match nominations in 2014.
