Gleave shines in Delph victory

CRICKET: DELPH powered to a 78-runs victory at Meltham in the Drakes Huddersfield League’s Twenty20 competition last night.
Andrew Gleave struck 74 from 47 balls — he hit six fours and four sixes — and Asim Khurshid blasted 68 from 34 deliveries, which included seven fours and five sixes, in the visitors’ total of 222 all out in exactly 20 overs. The pair put on 135 for second wicket.
In reply, Meltham were restricted to 144 for seven. Daniel Jones took three for 14 from his four-over spell.
