Date published: 24 June 2015
THE Pennine cricket league, due to start in 2016, received a boost last night with the signing of three more clubs.
Norden and Monton & Weaste, from the Central Lancashire League, and Saddleworth and District Cricket League outfit Moorside joined the new competition. Moorside had originally applied to join the rival new Greater Manchester League next season.
The Pennine league is an amalgamation of CLL and SDCL clubs which have decided not to join the new Greater Manchester structure.
