GREG Buckley hailed his magical six sixes in an over heroics as ‘crazy’ after he helped Delph into the Drakes Huddersfield League Twenty20 Cup semi-finals in blistering fashion.

Buckley (26) struck the perfect over as Delph triumphed by seven wickets at Barkisland (194 for six) in their quarter-final tie.

Looking back at his club record-breaking effort, which came during a super innings of 110, Buckley (pictured) said: “To be honest it was a crazy night.

“The first six of the over only just crept over the boundary rope, but once I’d got the second and third, I was thinking ‘this is on’.

“Once the fourth ball went for six. I was just on my way. It was a great feeling to complete the over with all six sixes.

“Barkisland isn’t a massive ground, but I was over the moon with what happened.

“I just hope I can carry that kind of form into the semi-final game now.”

Delph travel to Shelley tomorrow when a final place will be up for grabs.
