HEYSIDE boosted their Lake Garage CLL Championship promotion hopes with a nine-wicket demolition of Ashton.
The visitors to Little Hey Street took first guard and were skittled for 80 despite Tom Hanks' knock of 31. In reply, Heyside raced to 85 for one off 12.3 overs.
Crompton recovered from their blip of the previous week with a 47-run home victory over Radcliffe.
Josh Tolley scored 73 and Stephen Wright 68 as the hosts made 201 for eight before Radcliffe replied with 154, Andrew Yates picking up six for 46.
Werneth's recent improvement came to a halt at Elton, who amassed 228 for four before bowling out the visitors for only 114.
Star turns for Elton were Adam Stansfield, who hit 80, and Gareth Edwards with seven for 55.
In the Premier Division, Royton were on the wrong end of a Danny Salpietro master class as they went down by 125 runs at Norden. The home professional smashed an unbeaten 166 at Woodhouse Lane as Norden made 257 for four.
In reply Royton were bowled out for 132, Liam Brown top scoring with 68 and Chris Hartley
taking four for 32.
