St Annes in Millom no-show
Date published: 07 August 2015
RUGBY: OLDHAM St Annes won’t be travelling to Millom tomorrow following the club’s failure to raise a side able to compete against the National Conference League Division Two leaders.
Saints were due to play Millom in Cumbria last weekend, but were granted permission to put back the game seven days because of a lack of bodies. Injuries, holidays and work commitments this weekend mean the situation hasn’t changed.
This is the second game cancellation of the season for Saints, who will now be relegated automatically and will face a fine.
Mick Worrall’s men, bottom of the table with only one win from 12 games, were heading for the drop anyway.
The reverse fixture was scheduled for Higginshaw Road in a fortnight, but the forfeit means the August 22 meeting will now take place at Millom.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers and Waterhead Warriors have no games in the NCL tomorrow.
