Mossley continue fine start

MOSSLEY are in fourth place in Evo-Stik League Division One North thanks to a convincing 3-0 home win against Clitheroe.
The Lilywhites maintained their excellent early-season form – they haven’t conceded a goal in their three games – as Sam Robinson set them on their way with a 32nd-minute opener.
Sub Rhys Nevins doubled the hosts' lead in the 85th minute, just two minutes after replacing Mitchell Bryant. Robinson added the coup de gras with a smart finish just before the final whistle.
Clitheroe were rarely in contention and had Danny Brady sent off in the second period after picking up two yellow cards.
Mossley return to action tomorrow night with a trip to Witton Albion (7.45pm kick-off).
CHADDERTON scored a late goal to rescue a 1-1 draw at Whitchurch Alport in the North-West Counties League First Division.
Liam Jones opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half, before Chaddy struck back to earn a share of the spoils when Dillon O'Connor pounced with just 12 minutes remaining. Chadderton are at home to Bacup Borough tomorrow night (7.45pm kick-off).
