Replay date for Mossley

MOSSLEY face an FA Cup preliminary round replay after being held to a 1-1 home draw by Evo-Stik League rivals Bamber Bridge.

The hosts went in front on the stroke of half-time, thanks to Mitchell Bryant’s strike. But Bridge hit back to earn a replay when Stuart Vasey pounced with 20 minutes to go. The replay is tomorrow at Bridge’s Irongate Stadium (7.45pm kick-off). That led to the postponement of today’s scheduled Evo-Stik League Division One North home derby clash against Droylsden.

Meanwhile, Mossley have snapped up central midfielder Danny Murray (19) on an initial one-month loan deal from Stockport County.



CHADDERTON enjoyed a terrific 5-1 home win against Daisy Hill in Division One of the North-West Counties League.

The hosts had to come from behind after Reece Broadband struck early on for Daisy Hill. James Curley (two), Gareth Morris, Nathaniel Martin and Ben Fletcher scored for Chadderton, who moved up to 12th place in the table. They are next in action at Eccleshall on Saturday.
