Delph gear up for big double

CRICKET: DELPH face a double fixture weekend in their quest for a second-place finish in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership.
They are one of the form teams in the competition, with 13 wins from their last 15 games, a run which has lifted them up to fourth in the table.
But for Delph to keep up their push for runners-up spot — Scholes are almost guaranteed the title — they must beat Sykes Cup winners Barkisland tomorrow and Hoylandswaine on Sunday. Both games are at home and start at 12.30pm.
AFTER victory over Thornham last weekend in the Greene King Lancashire County League, Woodhouses will look to follow up when they host Stretford tomorrow.
The Belfields outfit, who lie eighth in the table, are also in action on Sunday when they make the trip to Woodbank. Both matches get under way at 12.30pm.
